As the saying goes, two is always better than one! So we’ve expaned and bought on board the beautiful Millie to help us create and bring to life double the event visions and designs for our beautiful clients.
Millie’s been working alongside me behind the scenes for a little while now, but as she starts taking over more and more events, it was time everyone met her officially.
So without wasting anymore time, I would love for you all to meet my right hand in all things events, Millie. I asked Millie to write a little something about herself to introduce her.
I love weddings because I enjoy creating the space in which two people solidify their love, surrounded by friends and family.
My name is Millie Bawden, and I am an Architecture and Property Economics student at QUT. Whilst studying, I discovered a hidden passion and talent for the events industry. I am hard-working, determined, and enthusiastic about everything I pursue. The design component of my degree complements my love for event design and allows me to be very creative whilst listening to and understanding client briefs. Aside from design, I enjoy reading, going to the beach and spending time with family and friends. I have been honoured to join the FAME team and enjoyed contributing my passion and talents to events since joining April, and I will continue to give it my all when planning your event!
The events world is one for a creative, passionate, and ambitious person who loves watching designs come to life! Ever since I was a little girl, I have dreamed of planning my own wedding and of being in the position to prepare these special moments; it is truly a blessing.
I graduated from a tight-knit school in Brisbane and thrived in working with small groups. I have demonstrated my skills throughout my studies, work, and extra-curricular activities, all of which have shaped the person I am today and the work ethic I uphold. My achievements throughout the years testify to this skill, which has flourished in the workforce. Having grown up doing an individual sport, I thoroughly enjoy working independently and believe I am reliable and trustworthy. I am very grateful for the lessons I have learned and will continue to develop from all my opportunities.
Aside from my work ethic, sometimes I just can’t wait to come home, put on a matching pyjama set and sit in front of the TV! My personal favourite genres are anything drama and real estate (mainly Selling Sunset)! I am a TV show compared to a movie kind of girl and enjoy fulfilling my sweet tooth whilst binge-watching the latest episode. Another time I get to take my mind off work is at the gym. Whether sweating it out in a heated yoga session or on the Pilates reformer, it is a safe space to focus solely on my mind and body. I try to go to the gym as much as possible, but some days this girl needs to sleep!
With all that I juggle, I always focus on the task. Whether coordinating a wedding or working out, I always give my all. I love working at FAME and look forward to seeing how many special memories we can create together.
