OBJECTIVE
Transform a local restaurant into a lush New Zealand forest to celebrate Paul’s 70th birthday. Every element needed to reflect Paul’s heritage and create an unforgettable guest experience.
WHAT WE DELIVERED
We began bump-in at 6am, removing all of the restaurant’s furniture and storing it off-site to create a blank canvas. Our team brought in every element – tables, chairs, cutlery, greenery – and handled all overhead rigging for four large trusses used to suspend lighting and natural installations.
The dining and cocktail spaces were divided by a dramatic black drape, setting the scene for a big reveal. We created a moody, ambient atmosphere using candles and soft overhead lighting. Lush greenery, including natural ferns, helped us recreate a New Zealand forest. Each guest received a personalised menu, individually plated four-course meals, and a custom acrylic name tag. Champagne on arrival, custom-branded coasters, themed signage, and a carefully styled seating chart added to the detail. Haka performers delivered a powerful performance, and the custom cake served as a show-stopping finale.
